We take you into the busiest shopping district. There is also a historic Cathedral which is one of the earliest and the most notable examples of of Gothic architecture in Seoul. It provided a sanctuary for protesters against the military rule in the 1970's and 80's and became a center of democratization movement.
The infamous Namdaemun Market is included in this tour as well. Eat the famous Mandu (Dumpling), go through alleyways where the sight of Kimchi stew is always boiling, and see how professional "ahjummas" haggles to get the best deal when they're shopping!
After the bustling areas, we head to Jeongdong, a peaceful and quiet area in the middle of city center. You will get to experience the first evidences of modernization in Seoul when Joseon Dynasty started opening it’s doors to the West. The area begins with a peaceful stroll along Deoksugung Stone-Wall road and slowly greeted by old neoclassical style and colonial architecture buildings. We can even take you to a cafe to see the aerial view of Jeongdong and City Hall! Jeongdong remains a favorite place for many Seoulites as it is hidden away from the sound of heavy traffic and the sight of skyscrapers. The tour ends at Cheongye stream with dozens of bridges and small waterfalls.
Myeongdong Station, Seoul Subway line 4 and Exit 9
