Bukchon West is located next to Gyeongbokgung Palace. This area consists both old and new buildings of Korean Architecture such as the MMCA (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) and Bukchon Hanok Village. The atmosphere in Bukchon West is more lively and dynamic compared to the Bukchon East. Bukchon West remains a favourite location by many locals and tourists, even during the Joseon Dynasty because it is closer to the main palace. You will get to experience the atmosphere of the Joseon Dynasty by entering traditional culture centres, and discovering secret alleyways.
